Jeffrey D. Coe,
MD.
Dr. Coe has been in practice in Los Gatos since 1992. His practice is
devoted to the surgical and non-surgical care of spinal disorders. He
is the current Medical Director of the Center for Spinal Deformity and
Injury in Los Gatos. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame
with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1975. He graduated
from Washington University (St. Louis) School of Medicine with his M.D.
in 1979. He served in the United States Army from 1979 until 1992. His
internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery was performed at Letterman
Army Medical Center in San Francisco from 1979 to 1983 and the Shriners
Hospital for Crippled Children from 1983 to 1984. From 1984 until 1987,
he was a Staff Orthopaedic Surgeon at the 34th General Hospital in Augsburg,
Germany. Dr. Coe performed his Fellowship in Reconstructive Spinal Surgery
at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1987 to 1988. He was then assigned to
Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas in 1988 where he served
until 1992. During his time at Brooke, Dr. Coe was Chief of the Spine
Surgery Service and was re-assigned to the 41st Combat Support Hospital
for 5 months as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery in Saudi Arabia and Iraq
in support of Operation Desert Storm. Dr. Coe is a Fellow of the Scoliosis
Research Society, a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society, a
member of the North American Spine Society, a Fellow of the American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
S. Craig Meyer,
MD.
Dr. Meyer joined the Silicon Valley Spine Institute in September of 2005. Like Dr. Coe, he is fellowship-trained in spine surgery, completing his Fellowship at Cedar's Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in 2004. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Missouri (Columbia) in 2003. He received board certification in orthopaedic surgery in 2006.
Renee V. Wall, PA-C
We are pleased to announce that Renee V. Wall, PA-C joined the team at the Silicon Valley Spine Institute this October. Renee graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in August of 2006. Her primary responsibilities are to assist Dr. Coe in the office and operating room. Renee is familiar with all aspects of Dr. Coe’s practice and is able to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your care at the Institute or your surgery.
Kimberly
Rodriguez
Kimberly is Dr. Coe’s Medical Assistant and Research Assistant. She
joined Dr. Coe’s staff in October of 2002.
Sherry
Smelser
Sherry has been Dr. Coe’s Accounts Manager since January of 2002. She
can address all of your insurance and billing questions.
Laurel Jacobson
Laurel joined the team last year and is instrumental as Front Office Coordinator in working with our patients in every aspect of their office visit.
Amelia Panighetti
Amelia is a medical assistant and surgical coordinator who has worked with Dr. Meyer since last year. She handles all patient related issues for Dr.Meyer, and assists in his surgery scheduling.
Trudy
Yee
Trudy has been Dr. Coe’s X-Ray Technician since October of 1997. She
is responsible for taking x-ray films and keeping track of all imaging
studies (not only x-rays but also MRI studies, CT scans, etc.).
